Exams and Certificates

The Leech School offers a selection of some of the best and most widely recognised certificates in the English language.

The Cambridge exams by the British Council consist of Lower (B2), Advanced (C1), and Proficiency (C2) examinations. Recognised by over 25,000 universities worldwide, including all UK universities.

The Michigan exams by the Hellenic American Union (HAU) consist of the ECCE and ECPE examinations. Recognised by CEFR and all American universities.

The ESB (English Speaking Board) exams by Europalso consist of the B2, C1, and C2 examinations. Recognised by OFQUAL and the Greek Civil Service. A fine substitute for either the Cambridge or Michigan degrees.

The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is an assessment of language skills test aimed primarily at adults and university students, also hosted by the British Council. Its purpose is to assess the English language proficiency of non-native speakers for admission into university, in Greece and abroad.
All students are required to do a placement test in any certificate of their choice before registering for the May or December examinations.
